Netcom 5 XP

Netcom 5 XP is a new approach to the automatic testing of emergency lighting. Compatible with self-contained luminaires and central battery systems. Designed to meet the requirements of BS5266, IS3217 and EN62034.

The cable required for the CAN communications side (i.e Control Module to fitting). We recommend the use of Belden 8719, 9316, 1030A or equivalents. The cablerequired for the Ethernet side is standard CAT5 cabling.

NETCOM 5XP can pinpoint a fault down to the device whic failed and what the nature of that fault is. A fault on a Self-Contained Emergency Luminaire is narrowed to one of the following four:

• communications fault
• battery fault
• inverter module fault.

Each intelligent luminaire has a its core a node which communicates with the central Control Panel via a Control Module. The node communicates to the Control Module via a proprietary CAN protocol and the Control Module communicates to the Control Panel via industry standard Ethernet. The nodes a stand alone module which can be integrated into any emergency luminaire. sisse. Each intelligent luminaire has a network LED (amber or yellow) to indicate network status and a charging LED (red or green) to indicate mains presentand whether or not the luminaire is charging correctly (for self-contained only).

AMBER/YELLOW LED

• WHEN ON - indicates "Fitting on Test";
• WHEN FLASHING (faste rate) - indivates "Fault Mode";
• WHEN FLASHING (slow rate) - indicates "Network Healthy".
